The Obama Foundation is a Chicago- based non-profit organization established in 2014 . The foundation's main project is overseeing the construction of the proposed presidential library for former President Obama, the Barack Obama Presidential Center. In February 2018, the foundation announced that it had started a scholarship program at the University of Chicago. The scholarships are awarded to 25 American and international Masters students from the Harris School of Public Policy to develop leadership skills through the Presidential Center.
