He started in 2015 at CS Don Bosco , the farm team of the Congolese record champions TP Mazembe and play in the country's first division, the Linafoot . In 2016 he finally switched to TP Mazembe, where he established himself very quickly and won two championships. In the summer of 2016, he completed a trial session at Bursaspor , while FC Porto and Standard Lüttich negotiated a move, which however did not materialize.

Controversy over bills

In the summer of 2019 Elia completed a trial training at the Belgian club RSC Anderlecht and was then no longer to be found, although the RSC Anderlecht had rated Meschacks training positively. Shortly after his disappearance without a trace, he appeared in Switzerland at the Young Boys Bern . In an official statement from TP Mazembe, it is said that Meschack tried to apply for political asylum in Switzerland with the help of advisors and that 1997 was still the year he was born. According to TP Mazembe, the aim of this project was to continue to defraud the latter association, because when Elia had signed the contract in 2015, if he had actually been born in 1997, he would have been a minor, so TP Mazembe would have committed a criminal offense. This would mean that Meschack could have made a transfer free of charge. However, the fraud was blown and Meschack was then banned from the Congolese football association for a year. During this time he is not allowed to play games for TP Mazembe or for the national team (this ban is illegal, however, as only FIFA or the continental associations are allowed to ban players).

Young Boys Bern was still in contact with Meschack and ultimately signed him as a replacement for Roger Assalé . FIFA has taken on the matter, a decision has not yet been made.

Meschack himself denies all allegations. He went to Switzerland of his own free will, in Anderlecht they wanted to sign him, but only let him play for the second team, Meschack refused, the advisors wanted to force him to sign anyway. Meschack's lawyers also denied the allegations and speak of a plot.
