The Oberbayerische corporation for coal mining was in Munich , before in Miesbach , resident publicly listed mining companies . The corporation was also known as Oberkohle.
history
The predecessor company of Oberkohle was the Miesbacher Steinkohlen-union, founded in 1847. In 1869 the Penzberg mine merged with the Miesbacher Steinkohlen-Handel union, and in 1870 it resulted in the establishment of the Oberbayerische AG für Kohlenbergbau.
The original company headquarters was Miesbach , in 1908 the company moved to Munich .
After several changes of owner, the mining company Hilbernia held the majority of the shares from 1936. Since 1970, the majority of the shares have been owned by VEBA AG (originally Vereinigte Elektrizitäts- und Bergwerks AG).
In addition to the mine in Penzberg, the Hausham mine , the Plutzer mine in Miesbach, the Au mine and the Remberg mine were also operated. Pitch coal was extracted in the mines . With the exception of Penzberg and Hausham, the pits were closed before the First World War . The last funding in Hausham took place on March 31, 1966, in Penzberg on September 30, 1966.
The upper coal was dissolved in 1979.
