Higher Court of the Canton of Bern
The Supreme Court is the highest cantonal judicial authority for civil and criminal matters in the Canton of Bern . It is made up of 20 chief judges, who are elected by the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern for a period of 6 years. It is located not far from Bern main station , in the Grosse Schanze district .
