Supreme Court for Intellectual Property

The Supreme Court for Intellectual Property ( Japanese 知 的 財産 高等 裁判 所 , Chiteki-zaisan kōtō-saiban-sho ) in Kasumigaseki , a district of the Tokyo district of Chiyoda , is a Japanese high court .

The Higher Intellectual Property Court was established on April 1, 2005 as a branch of the Tokyo Higher Court . This was previously assigned exclusive jurisdiction for complaints in patent matters, which, like other disputes in the field of intellectual property , are now handled by the Higher Court for Intellectual Property.
