Oby Ezekwesili (born April 28, 1963 in Anambra as Obiageli Ezekwesili ) is a Nigerian human rights activist and politician ( Allied Congress Party of Nigeria ). She is co-founder of Transparency International and BringBackOurGirls .

Life

Ezekwesili worked as an auditor for the World Bank and in the Ministry of Education. She was one of the founders of Transparency International . She was also one of the founders of the #bringbackourgirls movement, which emerged in response to the mass kidnapping of Nigerian schoolgirls in 2014 .

Act

Ezekwesili ran for the 2019 elections in Nigeria, but withdrew her candidacy, calling for a broad opposition coalition to counterbalance the government's All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition 's People's Democratic Party (PDP).
