Object Modeling Technique
The Object Modeling Technique ( OMT ., Eng Object Modeling Technique ) is an object - modeling language for modeling and designing software.
It was designed around 1991 by James Rumbaugh , Mike Blaha, Bill Premerlani, Fred Eddy, and Bill Lorensen to support the development of object-oriented systems and object-oriented programming in general .
From today's perspective, OMT primarily has historical value as a forerunner of the Unified Modeling Language, which has now largely been established as a standard .
