Objective difference grade

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Objective Difference Grade (ODG) is a measure for assessing sound quality .

It is a calculation-based pseudo-measure for evaluating methods that change audio data, e.g. B. Lossy audio data compression , as used in the MP3 format. The ODG was defined in ITU recommendation BS.1387 ( PEAQ ) and has values between 0 and −4, where 0 represents the best value and means that there is no impairment of quality. A value of minus 4 is absolutely unreasonable.
