Ocnerostoma friesei is a butterfly ( moth ) from the family of the web and bud moths (Yponomeutidae).

features

The moths reach a wingspan of eight to ten millimeters and are characterized by a pronounced sexual dichroism . The fore wings of the male moths are pale gray while those of the females are white. Ocnerostoma friesei can only be distinguished from Oncerostoma piniariella by dissection.

Flight time

The species forms three generations, these fly from March to May, in August and in November.

Way of life

The larvae feed on the needles of the Scots pine ( Pinus sylvestris ).
