Oktava is the oldest and largest manufacturer of professional audio equipment in Russia. The company headquarters are in Tula .

The company is best known for its small and large diaphragm condenser microphones and ribbon microphones. However, the company also produces other equipment for studio use, such as amplifiers, etc.

Oktava looks back on a long and eventful history. In the still young USSR, a group of engineers and fitters came together in 1927 and initially built transmission devices. Oktava was founded in Tula and is still based in the industrial city 200 kilometers south of Moscow. The city is still characterized by numerous production facilities for electronic devices.

Outside of Russia, Oktava is mostly only known as a microphone manufacturer and mainly sells microphones in Germany through its own online shop. With Oktava GmbH, the company has a sales organization for Europe in Stuttgart.
