Oky Doky

Oky Doky ( spoken language : [ 'ouki' Douki]) is a doll and protagonist of a US TV children's film series, which from 1948 to 1949 under the title "The Adventures of Oky Doky" (The Adventures of Oky Doky) and later ran under the title "Oky Doky's Ranch" (The Farm of Oky Doky).

history

The program was broadcast on the DuMont Television Network channel on Thursdays at 7 a.m. for 30 minutes, and from 1949 twice a week for 15 minutes. It started on November 4, 1948 and ended on May 26, 1949.

Some similar characters were created based on this model , such as Howdy Doody with a cowboy doll in a western film.

The Oky Doky doll was created by doll maker Raye Copeland and was featured in a children's fashion show called Tots, Tweens and Teens even before the TV series .

Oky Doky ran a farm where children played and always had new adventures. Dayton Allen made the dolls and was the voice of Oky Doky.

In German, the call "Oky Doky" is occasionally used both as a farewell phrase or greeting, and as approval in the sense of OK
