Olaf Bartels (doctor)

Olaf Bartels (* 1940 ) is a German doctor.

Life

Olaf Bartels completed his habilitation in 1976 , in 1980 he was appointed professor and worked as a senior physician at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg , from 1983 as an associate professor for internal medicine with a focus on cardiopulmonology and internal intensive care medicine . In 1986 he moved to the Martha-Maria Hospital in Nuremberg as chief physician of the medical clinic and medical director, and in 2005 he retired. In 1988 Bartels was a founding member and, from 2003 to 2005, deputy chairman of the ethics committee of the Bavarian Medical Association.
