Olaf Wiest

Olaf Wiest (* before 1965 in Neuwied ) is a German-American chemist and has been Professor of Theoretical Organic Chemistry at the University of Notre Dame (USA) since 2005 .

Life

Olaf Wiest graduated in 1991 from the University of Bonn as a chemist. At the same university he received his doctorate in science in 1993. The subject of his doctoral thesis was the radical cation catalyzed Diels-Alder reaction with indoles . His research interests lie in the field of physical and theoretical organic chemistry, in particular in computer-aided molecular structure elucidation.
