The Olav Rocks are a small group of cliff rocks off the north coast of South Georgia . They are 1 km east-southeast of Cape Crewe .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations named them during survey work they carried out in the area between 1927 and 1930. The rocks owe their name to the fact that they serve as orientation for the entrance to Prince Olav Harbor .
