description
The exact date of construction of the building is not known, so that only the early 19th century can be given as the construction period. Old Blacksmith's House is located directly on the road and, as the opposite side of the road is vacant, points directly to the coast of Loch Indaal Bay , less than 100 meters away , on which Port Charlotte is located. Old Blacksmith's House is traditionally built on a floor space of 14 × 9.5 meters. On the ground floor there is another floor, which then ends with a gable roof . The roof is covered with slate shingles. To the north is a one-story wing with a gable roof, which also runs along the street. In the south, the back yard of the house is delimited by three extensions. The facades are plastered using the traditional Harling technique.
