Old House of Keys
The Old House of Keys ( Manx Shenn-thie y Chiare as Feed ) is a historic building in Castletown , Isle of Man . It was the seat of the Tynwald , the island's parliament, before it was moved to Douglas in 1874 .
After Parliament moved, the Old House of Keys was used in a variety of ways until it stood empty from 1980 to 2000. In 2000, Manx National Heritage took over responsibility for the building . It was subsequently restored to its original appearance in 1866 and now serves as a museum .
