The 220 mm mozdierz wz. 32 was a Czechoslovak mortar that was used by the Polish and Yugoslav armies and the Wehrmacht during World War II .

history

The mortar, built for export by Škoda in Plzeň in the 1920s, was sold in 27 copies to Poland and 12 to Yugoslavia . There he was 220 mm mozdierz wz. 32 or 220 mm called M 28 .

After the German invasion of Poland in 1939 and Yugoslavia in 1941 , all mortars were captured and used on the German side. The mortars were renamed 22 cm mortar (p) (p for Polish) and 22 cm mortar 538 (j) (j for Yugoslav) and used with their 128 kilogram projectiles for coastal defense in Northern Europe.
