The 2-cm-Gebirgs-Flak 38 was an anti -aircraft gun of the Wehrmacht in World War II .

history

The 2-cm-Gebirgs-Flak 38 was a 2-cm-Flak 38 with a new mount. This reduced the weight by more than half to 315 kilograms. The flak, which was only produced in very small numbers from 1942 onwards, was used by mountain fighter divisions and paratrooper divisions. For this purpose, the entire gun could be transported hanging on the hull of a Junkers Ju 52 and dropped with a parachute.

The 2-cm-Gebirgs-Flak 38 could fire 0.3 kilogram HE shells or 0.33 kilogram tank shells 4,800 meters high. The life of a tube was approximately 10,000 to 12,000 rounds.
