The 3.7 cm Flak 37 was an anti -aircraft gun (Flak) of the German Wehrmacht in World War II .

history

The 3.7 cm Flak 37 was a further development of the 3.7 cm Flak 36, which had only gone into series production a year earlier . A new mechanical visor, the Zeiss clockwork visor Flakvisier 37, was developed for this in 1937. Since this also made changes to the carriage necessary, the new name was used.

It was produced by Dürkoppwerke AG in Bielefeld , DWM in Berlin and the Škodawerk in Pilsen .

The anti-aircraft gun weighed 1,552 kilograms in battle and was able to shoot 0.625-kilogram high explosive shells 4800 meters high. The life of a tube was 8,000 to 10,000 rounds.
