history
The cannon, built in three copies between 1937 and 1938, could be used independently of existing tracks on tracks and turntables built at short notice.
The cannons were originally 24 cm rapid loading cannons L / 40 (24 cm SK L / 40 C / 94) that were used on the battleships of the Kaiser Friedrich III class and the Wittelsbach class . They had a combat weight of 94,000 kilograms and could shoot 148.5 kilograms projectiles 26,750 meters. The life of a tube was approximately 900 rounds.
The guns were used in the 664, 674 and 722 railroad batteries.
