The 24 cm cannon Theodor-Bruno (E) was a German railway gun of the Wehrmacht in World War II .
history
The cannon was the barrel of the 24 cm jacket ring cannon L / 35 (24 cm Rk L / 35 C / 86) from the Siegfried- class coastal armored vehicles and a six-axle railway carriage , both from the time before the First World War originating. It was an interim solution in order to have K 5 and K 12 railway guns available until the introduction of the new modern designs .
The lifespan of a barrel firing 151 kilogram bullets was approximately 1300 rounds.
Six cannons were built and used in railroad batteries 664, 674, and 722.
