The 20 × 138 mm B grenade cartridge, also known as Lang Solothurn , was used in conjunction with the corresponding projectiles in some countries as ammunition for a number of different weapon systems such as anti-aircraft cannons , combat vehicle cannons and on-board weapons, primarily until the end of the Second World War . The caliber was 20 mm, the case was 138 mm long and the capital letter B stood for English belted case .

The 20 × 138 mm B grenade cartridge was developed, manufactured and marketed internationally by the Swiss arms factory in Solothurn in 1930 . Some usage examples are listed below.
