Lists on the subject |
The Drilling M30 was a hand weapon procured by the Luftwaffe during World War II . Colloquially, this is also known as the Luftwaffe triplet.
Manufactured by JP Sauer & Sohn, the triplet was intended to serve the crews of aircraft, especially with regard to the area of operation in North Africa , after emergency landings or crashes as a means of hunting and self-defense against big game and opponents, although in the latter area of use there was only little military use .
Only about 2500 copies of the weapon were procured, which were accepted by the Air Force outside of the actual armaments process before the war. Apart from its high quality standards from the pre-war period, it is sold dearly among collectors mainly because of its rarity.
