The Oldenburger Versicherungsgesellschaft was a German insurance company .

It was founded in 1857 by the Oldenburg councilor Friedrich Ritter (1801-1884) initially to operate fire insurance in the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg . The insurance soon expanded its field of activity to almost all of Germany and in 1969 merged with Aachener and Münchener Feuer-Versicherung .
