Oleg Serebrian

Oleg Serebrian (born July 13, 1969 in Hădărăuți , Moldovan SSR ) is a Moldovan politician , diplomat and geopolitician .

From 2001 to 2008 he was chairman of the Social Liberal Party of Moldova . In 2005 he became a member of the Moldovan Parliament ; on July 29, 2009 was re-elected for a second four-year term. He received his training at the European Institute for International University Studies in Nice ( France ) as well as at the University of Edinburgh and ENA in Paris . From 1999 to 2003 he was Vice Rector of the Free University of Moldova. Serebrian has been the first vice chairman of the Democratic Party since 2008 .

In June 2010 he resigned his parliamentary mandate to become Moldova's ambassador to France. Serebrian has been Moldova's ambassador to Germany since November 13, 2015 .
