Oley Sey

Oley Sey is a Gambian politician .

Life

In February 2007, Sey was nominated to the Gambian parliament by President Yahya Jammeh . She was a member of the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC). She was also sent as the Gambian representative to the Joint Parliamentary Assembly of the EU and the countries of Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific .

In August 2008 the nomination was revoked. A little later she and another person were charged with stealing or embezzling the sum of 500,000 Dalasi at the end of July 2008 . In late January 2009, she was found guilty and sentenced to six months in prison without parole.
