Olimar Reisen ( spelling : OLIMAR Reisen ) is a tour operator based in Cologne .

history

Olimar Reisen Vertriebs GmbH was founded in 1972 in Cologne by Werner Zahn. The name was derived from the first names of the company's two oldest sons, OLIver and MARkus.

In the beginning it was about offering Portuguese guest workers charter flights home, but over the years a specialist for vacation trips to Portugal has developed . In 1981 the first travel catalog appeared with a selection of city hotels in Lisbon . In 2001 an annual turnover of 115 million euros was achieved.

Started in a provisional office at Cologne bus station, the company headquarters moved over the years from Unter Goldschmied (Cologne's old town) via Pasteurstrasse (Cologne-Niehl) to the historic Glockengasse in Cologne (Cologne city center) in 2009.

Today the company is run by two sons of Werner Zahn, Markus and Pascal Zahn.

Travel offers

The company offers travel offers to Portugal, Spain , Italy , Croatia , Montenegro , the Cape Verde Islands and São Tomé .
