Olivia Wöckinger

Olivia Wöckinger (born May 23, 1979 in Linz ) is an Austrian qualified pedagogue, author and athlete.

Athletic career

Olivia Wöckinger ended her career as a track and field athlete at ULC Linz in 2005. She was one of the most successful Austrian athletes in long and triple jump and took part in two world championships and five European championships in several age groups. She was able to achieve over 40 national championship titles.

Her greatest success was the bronze medal at the Junior European Championships and the forty or so Austrian championship titles.

Life after finishing the sporting career

After the end of her career, the qualified elementary school teacher worked in a special education facility at the Linz Children's and Women's Clinic. Her protégés, who have problems at school and at home, inspired her to write her books, the fairy tale books. The children read part of the story and then have them draw into the book what they have just read. In this way you can check whether the children have understood what they have just read.
