Pérez was a member of the Uruguayan senior team . He was part of the Celeste squad at the 1919 South American Championship in Brazil , where Uruguay finished second. In the same year he won the Copa Newton and the Copa Gran Premio de Honor Uruguayo with Uruguay . In these two games against the Argentine selection, he was used and scored the interim 2-0 in the Copa Gran Premio de Honor Uruguayo in the 4-1 ending game.
