Omo Tuwe
Omo Tuwe is a rice dish that is very common in Ghana, West Africa. The recipe is different from that for Joloff Rice .
The rice specialty Omo Tuwe comes from the north of Ghana, but is very popular nationwide. It consists of rice balls and a vegetable soup, often garnished with eggs. The taste of the soup is varied from house to house with different herbs and ingredients. While omo tuwe is traditionally eaten in the north in the evening, the southern Ghanaians prefer it for breakfast. Omo Tuwe can also be found on menus in Europe.
