One Future Prize

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The One Future Prize is a film prize from the Interfilm Academy Munich . It honors films that ethically and aesthetically deal with the topic of an indivisible future for this world. The prize has been awarded every year since 1986 to a film from the entire program of the Munich Film Festival .

The Interfilm Academy Munich is an international forum that promotes the dialogue between film, culture and religion. It is aimed at people who want to ask about meaning in a contemporary way. It promotes understanding of the aesthetic, spiritual and social significance of cinema in the church and is committed to the perception of church, theology and religion in film culture. The Interfilm Academy has an ecumenical horizon. Just as film represents a global form of expression and communication, it is committed to ecumenism: an understanding beyond the boundaries of individual denominations, churches and religions.
