The One World Center (OWC) is a non-profit organization based in Williamstown, Massachusetts , United States . The main focus of the organization is the preparation and sending of volunteers to projects in Brazil and Africa .
The organization aims to inspire and empower people to take initiative against global poverty . It should enable social change and a sustainable future.
history
Since it was founded in 1986, the organization has been cooperating with the Humana People to People movement . Since then, over 2,000 people have been prepared by the organization for work in developing countries and have worked as volunteers, so-called “Development Instructors” in the partner projects.
