Online Marketing Düsseldorf

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Online Marketing Dusseldorf (OMD) was a fair for online marketing , which was held from 2000 to 2008 annually. The trade fair covered topics such as performance , search engine , e-mail and affiliate marketing . The premiere of the OMD started in 2000 with 63 exhibitors, parallel to the now defunct Telemesse in Hall 1 on the Düsseldorf Exhibition Center. The organizer was the Düsseldorf company IGEDO Company GmbH & Co. KG. In 2008, when it was last held, the congress fair at the Düsseldorf exhibition center took place in three halls (9, 10 and 11) for the first time. On December 17, 2008, IGEDO Company GmbH & Co. KG announced that "as part of a realignment of its corporate strategy, it would concentrate exclusively on its core competence of 'fashion fairs' in the future". The OMD 2009 will therefore not take place.

In September 2009, the dmexco (Digital Marketing Exposition and Conference) was launched on the Koelnmesse site in Cologne as the successor to OMD .

OVK Award

With the OVK Award, which was presented at a separate event on the eve of the fair, campaign concepts were chosen in which the Internet plays a prominent role and which optimally exploit the potential of online media. In 2007 the agency pilot 1/0 received the award for a campaign for Müller Milchreis. The prize is endowed with a gross online advertising volume of one million euros.

Convergence Award

Until 2006, the convergence award was presented at the fair . The award was made for the intelligent networking of online advertising with other media target groups. The winners were determined by an independent jury and selected at the OMD party. From 2007 the OVK Award was presented on the evening before the fair.
