Operational supplementary service

The operational supplementary service ( OED ) is a unit of the Bavarian police . Various units are combined in it. They were set up between 2006 and 2009 as a result of the police reform. This should bundle resources and increase efficiency.

The operational supplementary service exists at all area inspections or the former police headquarters. The OED consists of the emergency trains, service dog handlers, civilian task forces and the trainers for police behavior. He supports the local police authorities and complements their skills. There are at least 3 supplementary operational services in every administrative region of Bavaria.
