Ophtiole

One-dose ophtiols

An ophthiol , more rarely an ophthiol , ( Greek ὀφθαλμός, ophthalmos = "eye") is a small plastic medicine bottle from which eye drops can be dripped onto the cornea or the conjunctival sac of the eye and easily dosed without a pipette .

A distinction is made between single-dose ophtiols (EDO) with a content of 0.5 to 0.6 ml and ophtiols for multiple use (MDO).
