Opsview is free software for monitoring complex IT infrastructures based on Nagios .
Details
Opsview supports the monitoring of dedicated, virtual and cloud-based systems.
With Opsview, special attention is paid to the frontend, where it should improve the overview and sorting.
Opsview supports many operating systems , services and also applications such as B. Drupal.
Opsview also offers a free, open source version of Opsview. This is called the Opsview Core.
Technologies
Opsview is based on the following technologies:
- Perl : The main Opsview language is Perl
- Catalyst : An MVC web framework used to build web applications
- Ext JS : a JavaScript library used to create the bulletin board in Opsview Pro and Opsview Enterprise
- MySQL : A relational database that is used for configurations, during operation and data storage
- Nagios Core: Provides the basic monitoring functions
- Net-SNMP : Provides SNMP support
- RRDtool : Provides quick and easy graphics
As a platform, Opsview supports the following Linux distributions : CentOS, Debian, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu. Opsview can also be used under Solaris 10.
