Dirk Eitzert (born November 1, 1968 in Dortmund ) is a former German soccer player and current soccer coach .

Profile career

Dirk Eitzert played 34 games in the first and 13 games in the second division at VfL Bochum from 1989 to 1995 . In the second half of the 1992 season, Eitzert had to score for the last 15 minutes of the Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen after goalkeeper Ralf Zumdick saw the red card. Always plagued by injuries since 1992, Dirk Eitzert had to end his professional career in 1995 due to a sports disability.

Amateur football

After his professional career, Dirk Eitzert was active as a player with the footballers of the Joboxers Holzwickede and the SG Holzwickede. From 2008 to 2011, Eitzert, who has a B coaching license , was a player and later coach at the association and later state division club SSV Mühlhausen -Uelzen. He finished his coaching position at SSV Mühlhausen in October 2011 after a few sporting failures at his own request. In the 2012/13 season Eitzert coached the fusion club FC Iserlohn 46/49 , but resigned from his coaching position shortly before the end of the season. From 2016 to 2018 Eitzert was again a coach at the national division SSV Mühlhausen-Uelzen. Dirk Eitzert still plays regularly in the traditional team of VfL Bochum.

Professional

After his professional career, Dirk Eitzert successfully earned money in real estate business. According to his own statements, he now owns around 80 rented apartments in Unna and Holzwickede . Furthermore, Eitzert bought parts of the Lindenbrauerei in Unna in a forced auction in 2010 for a good million euros and is now leasing commercial units in the building.

Private life

Dirk Eitzert is married and lives in Unna with his wife and two children.
