Vittorio Cecchi Gori
Vittorio Cecchi Gori (born April 27, 1942 in Florence ) is an Italian film producer .
Life
Vittorio, son of producer Mario Cecchi Gori , has financed over 180 films throughout his life, including the Oscar- nominated The Postman and numerous other artistically and commercially significant works. His production company was also involved in the 1997 Oscar winner Life Is Beautiful . In the 1980s he also produced numerous commercially successful comedies with Adriano Celentano , almost always with his father .
From 1993 to 2002 he was also the owner of the football club Fiorentina ; From the field of television, he owned the La7 station . From 1994 to 2001 he was a member of the Italian Senate as a representative of the Partito Popolare Italiano . On June 3, 2008, Cecchi Gori was arrested in Rome for fraudulent bankruptcy.
Cecchi Gori was married to actress Rita Rusic from 1983 to 2000 .
