I am the greatest (original title: Lui è peggio di me ) is an Italian comedy film from 1985 with Adriano Celentano and Renato Pozzetto together with Kelly van der Velden in the leading roles.

action

The bachelors Leonardo and Luciano, who arrived in their mid-forties, run a vintage car rental shop, live together and also spend their free time together, preferably in young female company. When one day the daredevil Leonardo drives the white Rolls-Royce rented as a wedding car to an estate to pick up the young bride Giovanna, he kisses her spontaneously. Once at the wedding party, he advises against marrying her chosen one. He drives away with the bride, followed by the groom on a motorcycle, which has an accident. Giovanna reciprocates Leonardo's strong affection and a love story develops, against which Luciano intervenes by portraying Giovanna in a bad light and telling untruths to Leonardo. However, this ultimately remains unsuccessful, Leonardo and Giovanna marry and Leonardo compliments Luciano from the apartment.

The film produced by CG Silver Film Srl achieved the eighth highest earnings in Italian cinemas in the 1984/85 season. It started on February 21, 1985 in Italy and on August 29, 1985 in West Germany. The German theatrical version lacks 25 minutes compared to the Italian version, compared to the DVD it is 20 minutes, a fate that many films with Adriano Celentano suffered on their way to Germany.

The lexicon of international films judges the film as "[d] ramaturgically weak, but full of gags and cascades of words, unfortunately often on the verge of good taste".
