Oracle Recovery Manager

Oracle Recovery Manager ( RMAN ) is a tool from Oracle for backing up (see Backup ) an Oracle database . Online and offline backups are possible with this tool. Many backup tools such as HP Storage Data Protector (formerly HP OmniBack), Veritas Netbackup, Tivoli Storage Manager or EMC NetWorker offer interfaces to RMAN that allow graphical control of the data backup.
