Orakei Korako
Orakei Korako is an area of geothermal activity in New Zealand . The area is north of the city of Taupo on the banks of the Waikato River . Orakei Korako is located in the Taupo Volcanic Zone . It is also known as "The Hidden Valley". Two thirds of the geysers in Orakei Korako were flooded when the Ohakuri Dam was built in 1961.
