Oranmore ( Irish : Órán Mór , translated means "Great Spring") is a suburb of Galway in County Galway in the province of Connacht in the Republic of Ireland with 4990 inhabitants (as of 2016). It is located at the end of the shallow Galway Bay south of Carnmore Airfield , about nine kilometers east of Galway.

With its residential areas, Oranmore is slowly growing together with the city of Galway, while the large industrial parks around Oranmore ensure that most jobs are no longer found in agriculture, but also in the service, logistics and manufacturing sectors in addition to tourism .

The Galway Bay Sailing Club is located in Renville, Maree near Oranmore.

The Oranmore Boulder Burial is west of Oranmore, north of the old Dublin to Galway road. The Portal Tomb of Ballynacloghy about is 30 meters from the east coast of the Bay "Lackanaloy Creek", about 8.0 km southwest of Oranmore.
