Oraze

Oraze or Oraže is the family name of the following people:

  • Jakob Oraže (1902–1943), Carinthian Slovene and Austrian resistance fighter
  • Janez Oraže (1925–1943), Carinthian Slovene and Austrian resistance fighter
  • Jernej Oraže (1902–1943), Carinthian Slovene and Austrian resistance fighter
  • Martin Oraže (* 1984), Austrian ice hockey player
  • Milan Oraze (* 1967), Austrian football player

The names of the three Carinthian Slovenes of the Oraže family were Germanized as Orashes during the Nazi era , cf. the death sentences against 13 Carinthian Slovenes, given again in the personal article Thomas Olip .
