Milan Oraze (born March 29, 1967 in Klagenfurt ) is a former Austrian football player .

Player career

Milan Oraze played for SAK Klagenfurt until 1991 , from January 1991 to FC Tirol Innsbruck , from July 1994 to SV Ried. After a year he returned to FC Tirol and from January 1998 he played for VSE St. Pölten . Already in the summer of 1998 he moved (again) to SV Ried , the newly crowned cup winner and first division club. The goalkeeper played with this team in his first season in the European Cup Winners' Cup , which was held for the last time. In the second round, however, Ried failed at the Israeli club Maccabi Haifa . 2003 Oraze rose with his club in the second division. A year later he moved to the Hungarian first division promoted and former champion Honvéd Budapest . In 2005 the Austrian returned to his homeland and played for SAK Klagenfurt until the end of 2006. He then ended his active career at the age of 39, but later played at short notice as a "temporary worker" at BW Sachsenburg (from May 17, 2008 in three of the last four rounds).

Coaching career

After the end of his career, Milan Oraze stayed with SAK Klagenfurt and was goalkeeping coach there. In the summer of 2007, the then president of the Kazakh football association, Rakhat Aliew, offered him the position of assistant coach of the Kazakh U-21 national team, at the side of his Austrian coaching colleague Christoph Westerthaler . In 2008 they should train the first team. But Aliew was arrested in early June 2007 for various corruption offenses. This ended this brief guest appearance for the two Austrians.
