Orcelle

Orcelle is the name of a hypothetical ship of the future.

The Swedish-Norwegian shipping company Wallenius-Wilhelmsen developed the vision of a cargo ship with a load capacity of around 20,000 tons in collaboration with shipbuilders, architects, industrial designers and environmental experts . The aim was to use all possible means to avoid emitting any harmful emissions into the atmosphere or the ocean. That means that this vision of a ship is powered only by wind energy , solar energy and wave energy .

A similar but realized project of cargo ships with sail propulsion is the Dynaschiff by Wilhelm Prölss .
