The Orchard Hall ( Jap. オーチャードホール, Ōchādo Horu ) is a 1989 Dogenzaka, in the district of Shibuya , Tokyo built and opened on September 3 concert hall for classical music , opera and ballet. The concert hall is part of a large building complex, the "Bunkamura cultural facility". The diverse facilities of the Bunkamura are identified by a color scheme. The Orchard Hall is assigned the color red in this color scheme. According to the word meaning "orchard" ( orchard ) to the color red signal fertility. The concert hall has 2150 approved seats. It is the main venue of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra ( 東京 フ ィ ル ハ ー モ ニ ー 交響 楽 団 , Tōkyō Firuhāmonī Kōkyō Gakudan ) and the NHK Symphony Orchestra .

The Orchard Hall is also the venue for the Tokyo International Film Festival in October and the “Act against AIDS” event on December 1st. The planning of the building was incumbent on the architectural office Ishimoto ( 石 本 建築 事務所 , Ishimoto Kenchiku Jimusho ), the entire cultural facility is operated by the Tōkyū group of companies .
