Order of Concord (Bayreuth)
The Order of Concord , also known as the Order of Concord in Bayreuth , was an order of knights in the Principality of Bayreuth .
The founder was Margrave Christian Ernst von Brandenburg-Bayreuth . The foundation date was June 15, 1660. The establishment took place in Bordeaux . It was an order of court honor.
The whereabouts of the order is unknown.
Order decoration
The decoration of the order formed an eight-pointed white enameled cross with a white ball on the cross tips. Four twisted C's were inserted in the angles . A round medallion, surrounded by a smooth ring with the inscription "Concordant", showed a goblet in the middle. Above it is a red crown on a gold band with blue decorations on a yellow ribbon. The letters С on the back. EMZB for Christian Ernst Markgraf zu Bayreuth under a princely hat and underneath the foundation date June 15, 1660.
Ramelsberg's description of the medal is slightly different; afterwards the decoration was "a golden square cross set with diamonds, meanwhile a white enamelled shield in the middle, whereupon two green olive branches, crossed by a golden crown, present themselves with the heading: 'Concordant'."
Ribbon and way of wearing
The knights wore the decoration on a red ribbon around their necks as a neck medal , according to other sources on a blue or yellow ribbon on their left arm.
