Order of Concord (Schwarzburg)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Order of Concord (de la Concorde) was an order of knights in the Princely House of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt .

The order was donated by Prince Wilhelm Ludwig (1696–1757), the fifth child of Prince Ludwig Friedrich I in 1718 in Gräfinau . This order was intended for nobility and non-nobility with no gender restriction.

On November 10, 1746, the founder renewed this order. The costume was redesigned with this date. The chosen date was the birthday of the order master , Mrs. Dechantin von Gandersheim . The statutes stipulated that the knights should get a name under which they should publish scientific or literary writings. Furthermore, there was a law of the order to help the poor and support artists.

After the death of the founder on September 26, 1757, the order perished.

Order decoration

On the star of the order was a globe with a Latin cross and surrounded by the letters VLBE in gold, on the blue ribbon.
