Order of the round table
The Order of the Round Table was a French order. It was donated in 1487 by the citizens of Berry . The assumption that King Arthur founded this order around the year 51 is probably a legend.
The medal was a string of 50 black and gold-plated corals (pater noster), which were strung on a green silk thread. The golden image of the Mother of God emerging from the clouds hung on this thread.
A sheet metal shield bore the knight's name and was also attached to the thread.
