Organ - Journal für die Orgel is a German-language music magazine and is currently subscribed to in 21 countries around the world. It has been published four times a year by Schott Music in Mainz since 1998 . It is currently the independent organ magazine with the highest circulation in German and, alongside Ars Organi, the most important German-language magazine in the field of organ building, organ aesthetics and artistic organ music.

history

The periodical first appeared in 1998 as a quarterly magazine and has since been published by its editor-in-chief Wolfram Adolph , a Protestant theologian and music journalist and manager of the IFO label , at Schott Music in Mainz. Each edition is optionally available with an additional topic-related CD (label: organ-CD). In 2003 the magazine merged with the specialist magazine Orgel International while retaining its name .
